talented friends #4: lyndsay martin
today siob had a meeting with friend and artist/illustrator lyndsay martin, whom she formed a fate friendship with a few years back.
lyndsay is somewhat of a muse to siob.she. her artwork manages to capture all the emotions and qualities we are drawn to and after having been exposed to her 'edge of love' work, we instantly become her number one fans. inevitably, we have since collaborated together to produce some of our very own siob.she artwork.
lyndsay has been involved in various solo and group exhibitons as far afield as the u.s.a and tokyo, and is the recent winner of the ralph lauren artstars project two thousand and eleven. she is currently an artist at DEBUT contemporary gallery in notting hill which brings me up to date with our meeting today.
lyndsay has asked siob to get involved with an exciting forecoming solo exhibition. the project involves creating a conceptual space for her show in mid october for which she has been working on a large scale installation, consisting of photography, collage, found objects, garments and fabrics.
